During treatment the Chiropractor examines the animal’s whole body systematically and if a restricted joint is identified treats this with a chiropractic adjustment. This adjustment is a specific, high speed, low force thrust, within the normal physiological range of movement of a joint, to correct the misalignment of the spine and restore mobility to the facet joints. Sometimes restricted joints and the surrounding tissues are painful but the speed of the adjustment means the animal’s discomfort is kept to a minimum.
